Up Is Not the Only Way! That
claim was true 25 years ago when Dr. Beverly Kaye first proposed that
theory about career advancement based on her doctoral research and it
is still valid today. But experience has proved that forward-looking companies
which have understood and integrated that principle into a systemic career
development process retain their talent much longer.
The CSI Core Team shown below is comprised of key players in our organization
from the management and sales sides of the house.
Beverly Kaye, Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Member of Advisory Board
 |
In
1979, Dr. Beverly Kaye started Beverly Kaye & Associates, Inc.
(BKA) as a management consulting company specializing in the creation,
delivery and strategic management of talent in organizations.
Career Systems, which later evolved into CSI, was subsequently
added to create and supply state-of-the-art instruments for use
in our workshops. Today, the product and service operations have
been integrated into a single international enterprise under the
marketplace banner (dba) of CSI; BKA remains as the parent company
and corporate umbrella of CSI.
Cutting edge thinking and continuous improvement efforts have
kept the award-winning Dr. Kaye a leader in the career development
field for 25 years. She is the author of the classic career development
book, Up is Not the
Only Way, and the co-author (with Sharon Jordan-Evans)
of the international bestseller on retaining talent, Love
'Em or Lose 'Em: Getting Good People to Stay, and the
workplace satisfaction sequel, Love
It, Don't Leave It: 26 Ways to Get What You Want at Work.

Bev
Kaye is a dynamic speaker whose
presentations, like her training programs, engage participants, stimulate

Barry Levitt, Chief Financial Officer
Member of Advisory Board
 |
Barry
Levitt has been the CFO of Beverly Kaye & Associates ever since
its inception in 1979. However, for 31 years, his day job was as
a bona fide rocket scientist
engaged in communications research at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory.
Hard pressed to handle the day-to-day financial operations of BKA
in his spare time, Barry was thrilled when Nanci Hendrickson, the
VP of Finance, took over that job in 1996.
After taking early retirement from JPL in 2001, Barry was again
available to play a more active role in our organization. As CFO
he is ultimately responsible for the economic health and long-term
financial planning for the enterprise. He also took over the task
of creating and maintaining this website several years ago, during
which time his web design skills have increased steadily.
Barry is formally Dr. Barry Levitt, having acquired his Ph.D. in
electrical engineering from MIT in 1971. During his "other
life" at JPL, he contributed to the design of telecommunications
links for unmanned satellite missions and did fundamental research
on advanced communications techniques for the Defense Department.
And he fondly recalls being one of the original members of the technical
team supporting the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI).
During his communications career, he co-authored a ground-setting
book in his field entitled Spread Spectrum
Communications, and he published and presented over 40 technical
papers based on his research. However, he readily admits that his
life is much more enjoyable now.
