Description:

The Learning Zones Package™ is a fast, easy-to-use, but incredibly revealing 360-degree feedback tool. The opinions of others regarding how they see an employee's or manager's capabilities is a key ingredient that defines your reputation. In a very short time, users are able to assess for themselves, and from others, their "polished" or mature skills, areas requiring continuous improvement, and their "rough-edged" zones. This package includes one self-assessment tool and three respondent instruments to give to others to complete, and can be customized to organizational-specific competencies.

Objectives:

For today's smart career planners, it is imperative to be cognizant of the skills and behaviors that you rely on to get results and to be successful in the organization. The Learning Zones Package™ helps you to assess your strengths and development opportunities to stay marketable with your company, to remain current and relevant, and to continually add value. When workers gain a more realistic perspective of their capabilities, they can create much more effective career and performance plans.

Outcomes:

  • Provides a vehicle for employees to seek data and feedback from their supervisors and other business colleagues in order to validate their self-perception and flag credibility gaps.
  • Facilitates the frequency and quality of feedback, coaching, and development discussions.
  • Targets performance areas (i.e., skills and savvy behaviors) for further development.

Length of Time to Complete:

Approximately 10 minutes (the process is expedited because the instrument uses pre-printed stickers for placement over the zones of interest).

A Facilitator's Guide is available to assist in training this tool as a "stand-alone" product.
